The former Valencia defender calls on team-mates to raise game against Lyon...
Pellgrini came in for some scathing criticism after Madrid were beaten by Lyon last week but Albiol believes the defeat is a team responsibility.
The centre back stated that it is up to the players on the pitch to show what they are capable of and he said they must raise the intensity of their game when Lyon visit for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League encounter in a fortnight.
"It's unfair, when we lose we all lose and we should not blame the coach. We did not play a good match in Lyon, but that's not the coach's fault, it's the players. When we won we all win and when we lose, we all lose. We must raise the intensity from when we lost in Lyon," he told AS.
"We can not engage in comparisons [with Barcelona]. We must concentrate on our own games, we have the league and the game against Lyon, at the end we will see who is the best."
